Create a Happy Life Part 2

Proverbs 17: 22 say’s:

“A glad heart is good medicine,

but a broken spirit dries up the bones.”

Our society is blessed with technology, prosperity, good food, a good medical system and a stable government. Nonetheless, many people are depressed and discouraged. A large number of people are on anti-depressants and other medications. In addition, there are many Australians using illegal drugs as a way to escape the pain of life.

Our nation is not a happy nation.

Indeed, it seems that wealth and prosperity are not the ingredients to happiness.

As I write this article (early morning) I have also just taken some medicine for a minor ailment (don’t worry I’m fine). It tastes awful. I don’t like it. But it is marvellous stuff and very effective. So I am swallowing it down by choice so that I can enjoy its benefits.

The Bible say’s “A glad heart is good medicine…”

If you want to ‘Create a Happy Life’ it begins with a choice.

A glad heart comes by choice. You choose to be happy. I choose to be happy.

Most people mistakenly wait for other people to make them happy or for circumstances to make them happy or for their holiday to make them happy.

While we can get pleasure from our relationships and possessions we must recognize that we are responsible for our own happiness.

Happiness (a glad heart) is a choice. This is such a powerful life principle.

Therefore, irrespective of whether your day is problem free or packed with difficulties you can choose to be happy.

Happiness is your choice. Decide to be happy.

Own your happiness and enjoy your day.

Ps. Dave.

Very interesting Ps David suggestion maybe is that could you please do a sermon on this topic. Im more happy now than i was when i was before i met God. He has completely changed my life in a 360 turn. There is nothing too hard for God to handle He is so awesome and amazing. He is above and beyond good.
I’d rather have a happier life than a miseable life because God has got everything undercontrol.
